Important limits and responsibilities for travel and outdoor activity.
LandQuest is operated from Portugal.
1. Inherent real-world risk
Overland travel, off-road driving, motorcycling, hiking, camping, vehicle recovery and remote expeditions can cause serious injury, death, loss, vehicle damage and delayed rescue. You must make independent decisions based on current conditions, law, competence, health, equipment and risk tolerance.
2. Routes and access are not guaranteed
Routes, GPX tracks, coordinates, elevation, duration, difficulty, hazards and vehicle compatibility may be incomplete, estimated or outdated. Display does not guarantee lawful public access, landowner permission, safe passage, open borders or trails, permits, suitable terrain, fuel, water, accommodation, communications or rescue. Check official sources, weather, closures and local authorities before travel.
3. Vehicles, organizers and participants
Users are responsible for licences, registration, insurance, maintenance, tyres, payload, recovery gear, fuel, water, communications and emergency planning. Organizers must accurately describe activities, manage participants and make proportionate operational decisions. Participants must assess their own capability and vehicle. A profile, badge, review or verification is not a safety, insurance or competence certification.
4. Maps, live location, offline use and SOS
Never rely on LandQuest as your only navigation or emergency method. Maps, GPS, background and live location, route tracking, offline downloads, synchronization, messages and SOS-related functions can fail because of data errors, device limits, battery, weather or connectivity. LandQuest is not an emergency dispatch service. Contact official local emergency services whenever possible.
5. Third-party services and mandatory rights
Hosts, guides, workshops, recovery services, rental operators and expedition organizers remain responsible for their services. LandQuest does not guarantee their licensing, insurance, condition, performance or safety. Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
