Terms of Service
The rules governing access to and use of LandQuest.
LandQuest is operated from Portugal.
1. Scope and acceptance
These Terms govern the complete LandQuest platform, including public discovery, Explore, Map, routes, expeditions, groups, clubs, the market, stays, vehicle catalogues and rentals, brands, TravelBooks, quests, profiles, organizations, business tools, bookings, payments and communications. By using LandQuest, creating an account or accepting a transaction, you agree to these Terms and the policies linked from them. Mandatory consumer rights under applicable law remain unaffected.
2. Eligibility, identity and accounts
You must have legal capacity and meet the age and eligibility rules shown for the relevant service. You must provide accurate information, protect credentials and promptly report unauthorized access to security@landquest.app. Representatives of organizations and businesses confirm that they have authority to bind and administer them. LandQuest may request identity, authority, ownership, licence, insurance or business verification and may reject, suspend or withdraw verification.
3. Platform role and third parties
LandQuest provides discovery, publishing, coordination, community, marketplace, booking, rental and payment technology. Unless LandQuest is expressly named as the seller or provider, organizers, clubs, hosts, sellers, rental operators, guides, workshops, brands and other businesses contract directly with users and remain responsible for their offers, licences, taxes, insurance, safety and performance. Verification, ranking, reviews and badges are informational and are not guarantees.
4. Routes, expeditions and location services
Route creators and users are responsible for lawful access, private property, borders, protected areas, permits, road and trail restrictions, current conditions and vehicle suitability. GPX imports, copied routes, waypoints, navigation, offline maps, GPS, background or live location, tracking, delayed synchronization and SOS-related features may be inaccurate, delayed or unavailable. Expedition organizers manage invitations, join requests, capacity, waitlists, participant information, conduct, communications, cancellations and emergency decisions. LandQuest is not an emergency service.
5. Communities, clubs and organizations
Group, club and association managers are responsible for governance, membership decisions, announcements, dues, events, member-only content and lawful handling of member data. Organization owners and administrators are responsible for staff access, delegated roles, verification and ensuring that every representative has appropriate authority. Membership or platform verification does not create employment, agency, insurance or a safety guarantee.
6. Listings, stays, rentals and services
Listings must be accurate, current, lawful and transparent about price, availability, condition, restrictions and material terms. Hosts, sellers and operators are responsible for inventory, vehicle roadworthiness, licences, deposits, damage rules, cancellations, refunds, handover, accommodation standards and consumer disclosures. Users must satisfy driving, age, payment, identity and insurance requirements. Additional terms displayed during checkout form part of the transaction.
7. Payments, fees, promotions and rewards
LandQuest may collect platform fees, commissions, subscriptions, deposits or other amounts disclosed before purchase. Payment providers may apply their own terms. Businesses remain responsible for invoices, taxes and legally required refunds. Promotions, sponsored placements and Quest rewards must disclose eligibility, timing, territory, selection, fulfilment and sponsor terms. Badges and points have no cash value unless expressly stated.
8. User content and licence
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant LandQuest a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, format, translate, technically adapt, display, distribute and promote it as needed to operate and market the service, subject to your visibility choices and applicable law. You must hold all necessary rights and permissions for people, locations, trademarks, music, images and other works. Public content may be indexed, copied or shared by others.
9. Conduct, moderation and notices
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy, Community Guidelines, Safety and Route Disclaimer, and Content and Copyright Policy. LandQuest may investigate, limit distribution, remove content, restrict features, suspend or terminate accounts, preserve evidence and notify authorities where reasonably necessary. Notices may be sent electronically. Where required by law, reasons and an appeal or complaint channel will be provided.
10. Availability, warranties and liability
LandQuest is provided with reasonable care but without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, safety, compatibility or a particular outcome. To the fullest extent permitted by law, LandQuest is not liable for indirect or unforeseeable loss or for independent third-party conduct. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections.
11. Changes, termination and governing law
You may stop using LandQuest and request account closure, subject to legal retention and unresolved transactions. We may change services or these Terms for legal, security or operational reasons and will give appropriate notice of material changes. Portuguese law governs these Terms, while mandatory rights in your country remain preserved. Disputes should first be sent to legal@landquest.app; access to competent courts and statutory consumer dispute mechanisms is not restricted.
